Lunasol Polaris

Our Friends

Lunasol Polaris takes its corporate and social responsability to heart by contributing to good causes.

Serving patients around the world

Mercy Ships is an international organization that operates hospital ships to deliver free, world-class healthcare services, medical capacity building, and health system strengthening to those with little access to safe surgical care.

We hope to make a real difference in the lives of the poorest, and at the same time make a lasting impact on the healthcare of the countries where Mercy Ships docks.

Vision trip to "Global Mercy"

Our CEO Luc Synaeghel and Leen Ghesquière had the opportunity to visit  “Global Mercy” -one of the hospital ships of Mercy Ships- in Sierra Leone during the last week of September 2024.

Mercy Ships is active since 1978 by giving healthcare to the very poorest with the help of more than 1000 volunteers who are on call day and night.

Please join Lunasol Polaris in May 2025 at the Mercy Ships Charity Dinner in Bruges. Feel free to get in touch with Leen for more information.

Children are the future:
offering (maritime) horizons

Lunasol Polaris supports the children of a local school in Bredene-Belgium, called Koninklijk Werk Ibis (Royal Work Ibis)

The school originates as an orphanage for fisherman’s children and has grown into a “safe harbour” that offers children the unconditional care they would normally receive at home.

The school offers a complete education, with a clear focus on the maritime field.
